We realize that at times we can all get passionate and excited about the games we're coaching and watching. Nonetheless, we want to remind everyone that we have a zero tolerance for referee abuse--berating, ridiculing, questioning, and addressing the referees during the game--from anyone. We are particularly sensitive about protecting our youth referees who are working towards becoming our next generation of referees. So we're asking all coaches--including those in the U8 divisions--to work with one another, and with their own parents, players, and spectators, to help maintain a fun and safe environment...for our kids. Thank you.
COACH TIP: As a coach, should you have a need to communicate with the referee during the game, the preferred method to take is to have your designated team captain(s) approach the center referee during a break in play (quarter breaks, or at half-time).
